Coast Learning
Systems announces the release of two new Anthropology courses for Fall 2008: Anthropology: The Four Fields and Physical Anthropology: The Evolving Human.
Anthropology: The Four Fields
introduces the central concepts, concerns, and research methods
of cultural anthropology. It takes a cross-cultural approach to diverse subject
areas, including subsistence patterns, political organization, the family,
social organization, economics, kinship, language, the arts, and
religion.
Physical Anthropology: The Evolving Human provides
students with an understanding of human evolution and diversity from a
biological perspective. While new techniques and discoveries are
continuing to alter our understanding of the human species and its
place in the biological world, this course provides the student with
essential tools to appreciate the key theoretical and methodological
issues involved in this subdiscipline of anthropology.
